Former Jackson High School standout Kristi Kingma was named the Pac-10 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
Kingma, a junior guard for the University of Washington, scored 29 points — one off her career high — in the Huskies’ 64-52 victory over Washington State on Sunday. She made 11 of 20 shots from the floor, including 5-of-9 from 3-point range, and collected six steals.
Kingma, the UW’s leading scorer at 16.2 points per game, scored 17 of her points in the first half to help the Huskies build a 38-22 halftime lead.
