The following was left off the Evergreen Speedway press release for races on Saturday, Aug. 15:
Late Models:
The Speedway Chevrolet Late Models had an exciting race with a limited field of cars. Jeff Knight took an early and commanding lead in the race. A late caution flag when Natalie Sather and Daniel Moore tangled coming off of turn 4 bunched the field. On the restart. Naima Lang was able to get to the inside of Knight. Coming off of turn 4 coming down to take the white flag Knight spun and did an incredible job of keeping the car from hitting the front stretch wall. Lang was able to slip by the spinning car to take the lead and complete the lap for the win. Knight was able to continue going a finished in 3rd although Steve Ptacek did get by to take over the 2nd spot.
