Links on the Seahawks’ thrilling OT victory

Plenty of good stuff out there on Seattle’s 26-20 win over Denver, both in today’s Herald and elsewhere.

Starting off with our coverage, here’s the game story.

I wrote a column on Russell Wilson coming through in OT after a pretty rough second half for him and the offense.

We’ve got sidebars on Ricardo Lockette, the defense’s good day (one drive notwithstanding), and Jon Ryan, who Pete Carroll said might have been the MVP of the game, plus a notebook leading off with the play of Marcus Burley, who had to match up with Wes Welker.

Oh, and after the game, defensive back DeShawn Shead got engaged on the field.

Before we get to national reaction on the game, a bit of news. Fox Sports’ Mike Garafolo is reporting that S Kam Chancellor is dealing with bone spurs in his ankle, though he says for now the plan is put off surgery until after the season.

As usual, Pete King’s MMQB column gives a good recap of the weekend in the NFL, and leads off with Russell Wilson and the Seahawks.

NFL.com’s Mike Silver also touches on Wilson leading a comeback, while also being a the face of the NFL that the league can use right now.

Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman says Wilson showed why he’s one of the best in the NFL, and might be better than fellow Class of 2012 QB, Andrew Luck.
