An MRI has revealed a torn pectoral muscle for LT Russell Okung, the team announced, an injury that will almost certainly end his season.
The team made no further announcement regarding Okung’s status, but a pectoral tear is almost always an injury that requires surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation period. No further news is expected from the team, but expect to see Okung placed on injured reserve sometime next week.
With Okung out, the Seahawks can either use Paul McQuistan, who has been starting at right guard but has played tackle in the past, or look to Jarriel King or Allen Barbre, the two other tackles on the roster. Seattle could also look to sign a tackle.
