The Minnesota Lynx have been dominating the WNBA, it’s only fitting that they dominate the monthly awards for July as well.
Forward Seimone Augustus took home the Player of the Month Award and Maya Moore was named the league’s Rookie of the Month this week.
Augustus had a big month of July scoring a season-high 25 points in a July 20 victory over Connecticut. For the season, she is averaging 16.3 point per game, good enough for eighth in the league and third in the Western Conference.
Moore scored a career-high 26 points in a July 9 victory over Connecticut. For the season, Moore is averaging 13.0 points per game to lead all WNBA rookies.
