MARYSVILLE – The Marysville-Pilchuck girls basketball team shot 72 percent from the foul line Wednesday night to upend Jackson 65-56 in a non-conference game at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
“We shot pretty well from the foul line,” said Marysville-Pilchuck coach Julie Martin, whose team sprinted to a 23-8 lead in the first quarter.
Senior Amanda Dunbar led the Tomahawks (4-4) with a season-high 29 points, including four 3-pointers. She was 11-for-13 from the free-throw line. “Amanda played a good game,” Martin said.
Ashley Todd scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Jackson (5-2).
