Marshawn Lynch returned to practice with the Seahawks on Wednesday. It was his first time on the practice field since he underwent abdominal surgery on Nov. 27, and he was listed as a full participant.
So how did he look?
“He looked good,” offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said. “It’s good to have him back out here. We’ll take it a day at a time and see if he continues to move along through the week. We’re looking forward to having him.”
After a seven-game layoff, will Lynch be ready to play and carry a full load in time for Sunday’s wild-card game at Minnesota?
“If he’s going, that’s what I would expect,” Bevell said. “I expect him to be full-go, full-speed, and just be like we normally are.”
So things are looking good for the Seahawks with regards to getting their Beast Mode back for the playoffs.
Indeed, the Seahawks could be getting a slew of players back from injuries this week. Strong safety Kam Chancellor, whose missed three games with a bruised tailbone, was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. He was close to returning last Sunday, so he should be ready to go this Sunday.
Meanwhile, tackle Russell Okung (calf), guard J.R. Sweezy (concussion) and tight end Luke Willson (concussion), who also sat out last Sunday’s 36-6 victory at Arizona, were all back at practice in a limited capacity. Cornerback Jeremy Lane, who left Sunday’s game because of an oblique injury, was also a limited participant.
Receiver Tyler Lockett (hip) and defensive end Michael Bennett (toe) were held out of practice Wednesday, but there’s been no indication either is in danger of missing the game at Minnesota.
