Marsh’s 3-pointer boosts Mavericks

LYNNWOOD – One big shot stunned Lynnwood.

Taylor Marsh sank a 3-point goal with two seconds left to tie the score. Then, after Lynnwood was charged with a technical foul for calling an illegal timeout, Marsh hit the free throw to give Meadowdale a 62-61 Western Conference South Division victory at Meadowdale High School Saturday night.

Aaron Smith drove the lane and then kicked the ball out to Marsh for the all-important score-tying basket.

Julian Williams scored 13 of his 20 points and Marsh had 10 of his 12 points to lead Meadowdale to the fourth-quarter comeback. Willams also grabbed 10 rebounds.

Tyler Milan had 14 points for Meadowdale. Bobby Hinnenkamp led Lynnwood with 18 points. Drew Matzen scored 15 and Anthony Porter added 12 points for Lynnwood.
