EUGENE — Noelvi Marte had three hits, including a two-run home run, and drove in four runs as the Everett AquaSox beat the Eugene Emeralds 10-6 on Friday night.
Marte’s home run, his ninth of the season, ignited a four-run first inning as Everett (35-37) jumped out to a big lead and never looked back.
Justin Lavey went 2-for-4 with two RBI, James Parker went 2-for-5 with two RBI and Alberto Rodriguez had two hits and drove in a run for the AquaSox.
A night after striking out 19 Emeralds batters, five Everett pitchers combined to whiff 14 on Friday. Logan Rinehart, Michael Flynn and Luis Curvelo each struck out four batters in the game.
Casey Schmitt and Vaun Brown each homered for Eugene (42-28).
