There aren’t statistics about a player making two holes-in-one five days apart and at the same golf course, but for Marysville resident Steve Dalam, he achieved that task on the par-3 course at Battle Creek Golf Course.
According to the National Hole-In-One Registry, the official database of hole-in-one achievements, the odds of a tour player making an ace are 3,000 to 1, a low-handicapper 5,000 to 1 and an average player 12,000 to 1. The odds of a player making two holes-in-one in the same round are 67 million to 1, and a hole-in-one is scored once every 3,500 rounds.
Dalam made his first hole-in-one on Hole 5 (103-yards) on July 12 and then on Hole 8 (106 yards) five days later.
In Dalam’s group for his second hole-in-one were Dave Gilbertson, Kurt Wold and John Spasari who play golf regularly with him at Battle Creek. Dalam was later given a flag to recognize his accomplishment.
