The Tommies were ousted from playoff contention with a 21-20 loss to Arlington in their last league contest of the season in 2007. They will count on Levi Cartas, last year’s leader in receptions and yards per catch, and Ryan Sterley, last year’s fifth-leading rusher, to help new quarterback Devin Peterson step up to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2004.
