COLUMBUS, Ohio — Steve Mason stopped 33 shots in his NHL-leading 10th shutout, Jason Williams scored two power-play goals, and Rick Nash and Christian Huselius both had four assists in the Columbus Blue Jackets’ 5-0 victory over the Calgary Flames on Thursday night.
The rookie goalie set a franchise record for shutouts.
Manny Malhotra and Williams scored in the first period, and Raffi Torres and R.J. Umberger made it 4-0 after two periods in a penalty-filled game.
The teams combined for 124 penalty minutes, 64 by Columbus, with 110 coming in the second period when there were two fights, two game misconducts and four misconducts.
