Men’s Artistic

Chris Brooks

A 25-year-old resident of Houston … a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in business management … started gymnastics when he was 4 … says his favorite event is the horizontal bar … finished third in the horizontal bar at the Winter Cup Challenge earlier this year … an alternate on the 2011 U.S. World Championships team … a member of the 2010 U.S. World Championships team … the 2010 U.S. horizontal bar champion.

Jake Dalton

A 20-year-old native of Reno, Nev. … attends the University of Oklahoma, where he is pursuing a degree in human relations … started gymnastics in 1996 on the suggestion of his youth baseball coach … a member of the 2011 U.S. World Championships team, which won the bronze medal … the 2011 U.S. vault and floor exercise champion … the 2011 NCAA vault and floor exercise champion … competed at the 2009 World Championships … the 2009 U.S. vault champion.

Sam Mikulak

A 19-year-old native of Newport Coast, Calif. … attends the University of Michigan … his parents, both former collegiate gymnasts at the University of California (his father was an All-American), started him in the sport when he was 2 … the 2011 NCAA all-around champion and floor exercise bronze medalist … the 2010 U.S. junior champion in all-around, pommel horse and parallel bars (tie) … the 2010 U.S. Junior Olympic national champion in all-around, floor exercise and vault.

Marvin Kimble

A 16-year-old student at Pulaski High School in Milwaukee, Wis. … started gymnastics in 2004 … a member of the U.S. national junior team … says his favorite events are floor exercise, pommel horse, rings and parallel bars … the 2011 U.S. national junior silver medalist in floor exercise, vault and parallel bars … the 2011 U.S. Junior Olympic champion in rings, the silver medalist in pommel horse (tie), and the bronze medalist in the all-around and floor exercise.

Sean Melton

A 17-year-old resident of Orlando, Fla. … started gymnastics in 2001 … a member of the U.S. national junior team … says his favorite event is the parallel bars … loves watching NFL football … the 2011 U.S. national junior champion in all-around, pommel horse, rings and parallel bars … the 2011 U.S. Junior Olympic champion in all-around, and the silver medalist in floor exercise, rings, vault and pommel horse (tie).

Akash Modi

A 16-year-old resident of Morganville, N.J. … attends nearby High Technology High School … a member of the U.S. national junior team … says his favorite event is the pommel horse … the 2011 U.S. national junior champion in floor exercise, the silver medalist in pommel horse and the bronze medalist in all-around … the 2011 U.S. Junior Olympic champion in pommel horse, silver medalist in all-around and bronze medalist in vault and parallel bars.

Women’s Artistic

Jordyn Wieber

A 16-year-old resident of DeWitt, Mich. … attends DeWitt High School … started gymnastics when she was 4 … says her favorite event is the balance beam … was the all-around champion at the AT&T Challenge Cup earlier this year … part of the gold medal U.S. team at the 2011 World Championships … the reigning World Championships gold medalist in all-around and the bronze medalist in balance beam … is the defending U.S. national champion in all-around, uneven bars and floor exercise.

Gabrielle Douglas

A 16-year-old high school student (home school) from Virginia Beach, Va. … says her favorite events are the floor exercise and balance beam … was part of the gold medal U.S. team at the 2011 World Championships, where she also placed fifth on the uneven bars … tied for third in the uneven bars and was seventh in all-around at the 2011 U.S. championships … placed second in the uneven bars at the 2011 CoverGirl Classic.

Kyla Ross

A 15-year-old high school student from Aliso Viejo, Calif. … started gymnastics when she was 3 … father Jason Ross played professional baseball … will be making her senior international competitive debut at the Pacific Rim Championships … placed second in all-around, uneven bars and balance beam, third in vault and sixth in floor exercise at the 2011 U.S. championships in the junior division … first in all-around and uneven bars (tie) in the junior division at the 2011 CoverGirl Classic.

Katelyn Ohashi

A 14-year-old resident of Newcastle, though she currently lives and trains in Plano, Texas … was born in Seattle … was the 2011 U.S. champion in all-around, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise in the junior division, while also placing fourth in the vault … tied for first in uneven bars and was second in balance beam and third in all-around at the 2011 CoverGirl Classic in the junior division.

Lexie Priessman

A 15-year-old high school student from Cincinnati … her brother Nick plays baseball at Eastern Illinois University … says her favorite event is vault … was the 2011 U.S. champion in vault and was second in floor exercise, fourth in all-around and tied for seventh in uneven bars in the junior division … was first in vault, second in all-around and floor exercise and third in balance beam at the 2011 CoverGirl Classic in the junior division.

Amelia Hundley

A 14-year-old home-school eighth-grader from Hamilton, Ohio … started gymnastics because her mother owned a dance studio and taught tumbling … says her favorite event is floor exercise … placed second in all-around, vault and floor exercise, third in uneven bars and fourth in balance beam at the 2011 Japan Junior International … was fourth in floor exercise, fifth in all-around and tied for seventh in uneven bars at the 2011 U.S. championships in the junior division.

Rhythmic

Julie Zetlin

A 21-year-old resident of Bethesda, Md. … her mother was a rhythmic gymnast in her native Hungary … started in artistic gymnastics, but then switched to rhythmic as a girl … will be a member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic team, based on her showing at the 2011 World Championships … the 2011 Pan-American Championships gold medalist in all-around, ball and ribbon, and the silver medalist in hoop … the 2010 U.S. national champion in all-around, hoop, ball and ribbon … the 2010 Pan American Games champion in all-around, rope and ball.

Polina Kozitskiy

A 16-year-old resident of Fountainville, Pa., and a student at nearby Pennridge North Middle School … her mother was a rhythmic gymnast in her native Russia … a member of the 2011 U.S. World Championships team … the 2011 U.S. national ribbon champion … runner-up finisher in clubs at the 2011 Montreal International Invitational … finished seventh in all-around at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games.

Alexis Page

A 16-year-old student at St. Jean Baptiste High School in New York, where she enjoys studying social studies and math … says her favorite event is ball … placed fourth in ball at the 2012 Rhythmic Challenge … second in ball and clubs at the 2011 U.S. national championships, third in all-around, and fourth in hoop. … the 2010 U.S. national champion in hoop, second in ball, and third in all-around, rope and clubs in the junior division.

Laura Zeng

A 12-year-old resident of Libertyville, Ill. … a member of the U.S. national junior team … placed second in all-around, hoop, ball and ribbon, and fourth in clubs at the 2012 Rhythmic Challenge in the junior division.

Julia Garbuz

A 15-year-old resident of Eden Prairie, Minn. … a member of the U.S. national junior team … started gymnastics in 2003 … says her favorite events are clubs and rope … placed third in ball and ribbon, and fourth in all-around at the 2012 Rhythmic Challenge in the junior division … second in ball and clubs, fifth in ribbon and sixth in all-around at the 2011 U.S. national championships in the junior division.

Jennifer Rokhman

A 14-year-old resident of Northbrook, Ill. … is a member of the U.S. national junior team … her identical twin sister, Monica, is also a member of the U.S. national junior team … fifth in clubs and seventh in all-around at the 2012 Rhythmic Challenge in the junior division … sixth in hoop and ribbon, and eighth in all-around at the 2011 U.S. national championships in the junior division.

Men’s trampoline

Steven Gluckstein

A 21-year-old resident of Atlantic Highlands, N.J. … attends Rutgers University, where he is majoring in business management … has a younger brother, Jeffrey, who is also on the U.S. national team … a four-time U.S. synchro champion (2007-10) and a three-time national trampoline champion (2007, 2009-10) … placed first in synchro and second in trampoline at both the 2011 U.S. Elite Challenge and the 2011 Winter Classic.

Neil Gulati

A 21-year-old resident of Laguna Beach, Calif. … attends Orange Coast College where he is a mathematics major … placed first in synchro at the 2012 Winter Classic … also placed first in synchro at the 2011 U.S. Elite Championships, where he placed fifth in the trampoline … placed second in synchro at the 2011 U.S. Elite Challenge.

Cody Gesuelli

A 13-year-old resident of Middletown, N.J. … a member of the U.S. national junior team … placed first in trampoline and fifth in synchro at the 2011 U.S. Elite Challenge in the junior division … was third in both trampoline and synchro at the 2011 U.S. Elite Championships in the junior division … placed second in synchro at the 2011 World Age Group Competition (13-14).

Colin Duda

A 14-year-old resident of Atlantic Highlands, N.J. … a member of the U.S. national junior team … placed first in trampoline and synchro at the 2012 Winter Classic in the junior division … was third in synchro and sixth in trampoline at the 2011 U.S. Elite Championships in the junior division … placed second in synchro at the 2011 World Age Group Competition (13-14).

Women’s trampoline

Savannah Vinsant

Lives in Lafayette, La. … An 18-year-old nursing student at South Louisiana Community College in Lafayette … was third in trampoline at the 2012 Winter Classic … won the trampoline competition at the 2011 U.S. Elite Championships … placed first in synchro at the 2011 U.S. Elite Challenge … competed at the 2011 World Championships and placed fourth in the team competition.

Alaina Williams

A 22-year-old native of Amarillo, Texas … attends the University of Oklahoma, where she is majoring in health and exercise science … is a three-time U.S. synchro champion (2007, 2009, 2011) … was the 2011 Pan American Games trampoline bronze medalist … was the 2011 U.S. national championship trampoline bronze medalist … won the U.S. trampoline championship in 2010.

Shaylee Dunavin

A 15-year-old resident of Amarillo, Texas … a member of the U.S. national junior team … placed first in trampoline, synchro and double mini at the 2011 U.S. Elite Championships in the junior division … was first in trampoline and tumbling at the 2011 U.S. Elite Challenge in the junior division … won both the trampoline and double mini at the 2011 Winter Classic in the junior division.

Maggie Gallagher

A 13-year-old resident of Coto de Caza, Calif. … a member of the U.S. national junior team … placed fifth in synchro at the 2011 U.S Elite Championships in the junior division … was second in synchro and fourth in trampoline at the 2011 U.S. Elite Challenge in the junior division … placed second in trampoline and fifth in synchro at the 2011 Winter Classic in the junior division.
