Merchants beat Laces Academy

EVERETT — The Everett Merchants jumped on Laces Baseball Academy early Tuesday night and cruised to a 10-3 victory.

Jace Sloan had a two-run double for the Merchants. Zach Miller (Everett CC), Eric Rodland and Chad Dias also had doubles for Everett. Rodland also scored a run.

Brent Miller pitched the fourth and fifth innings for the Merchants to pick up the victory.

Laces Baseball Academy drops to 23-11 on the year, while Everett improves to 12-5. The Merchants face the Seattle Studs at Everett Memorial Stadium tonight at 7 p.m.
