The Mill Creek Little League softball team (12-year-olds) is headed to the West Regional Tournament in San Bernadino, California, for the second straight year.

Mill Creek advanced to regionals by blowing through the Washington state tournament on July 5-11 in Oak Harbor. Here were the scores:
Mill Creek 20, North Whidbey 0
Mill Creek 17, Camas 2
Mill Creek 7, Redmond 1

The West Regional Tournament begins Friday, and Mill Creek was placed in a pool with Hawaii (the team that eliminated Mill Creek at last year’s regional tournament) and Montana. Here’s Mill Creek’s the schedule:
Saturday: Mill Creek vs. Hawaii, 9 a.m.
Sunday: Montana vs. Washington, 7:30 p.m.
Games can be tracked on the Little League website. All nine teams advance to the knockout stages beginning Tuesday. The semifinals are next Thursday and the championship game is next Friday. The Little League World Series is Aug. 9-16 in Portland, Oregon.
Finally, here’s Mill Creek’s roster, along with each player’s position. Every player is in her 12-year-old season except for Simone Williams, who is 11:
