SEDRO-WOOLLEY – “It was just a great high school basketball game,” said Sedro-Woolley coach Brian Isakson.

The Monroe Bearcats beat Sedro-Woolley 78-75 in a double-overtime non-conference game Friday that featured two outstanding individual performances by a member of each team.

Monroe came back from a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to send the game into the first overtime.

“The most disappointing thing was we blew that 15-point lead in the fourth quarter,” added Isakson.

Dan Walters poured in 30 points for the Bearcats.

Despite the loss, Mitch Annema scored 36 points and pulled down 17 rebounds for the Cubs.
