SPOKANE — Athletic director candidate Bill Moos will visit the Washington State campus on Wednesday and will meet with members of the university community.
School president Elson S. Floyd invited Moos, indicating the former WSU player and administrator may be the leading candidate to replace the departed Jim Sterk.
Moos served as a successful athletic director of the University of Oregon from 1995 to 2007, and left following a dispute with major Ducks booster Phil Knight. He was captain of WSU’s 1972 football team, and later directed fundraising for the WSU athletic department for five years.
