Here’s a tweet-like note out of Tacoma:
Brandon Morrow has pitched a complete-game four-hitter in the Rainiers’ 4-0 victory over Iowa at Cheney Stadium. He walked one and struck out two.
Don’t look now, but Morrow has strung together some nice outings as he converts once again from reliever to starter. He’s 2-2 with a 4.04 ERA for the season in Tacoma, but in his past three starts he’s 2-0 with a 1.23 ERA.
Those are numbers to keep in mind, especially if Ian Snell continues to sputter in the Mariners’ rotation.
