This weekend at various regional tournaments, wrestlers will try to qualify for the Mat Classic state championships (Feb. 20-21 at the Tacoma Dome).
I will be at Snohomish High School tomorrow and Saturday for the Class 4A Region 1 tournament. In addition to all the 4A Wesco schools, it will include nine schools from the South Puget Sound League North Division.
Region 1 is crammed with talent. (Check out my story in tomorrow’s paper or online for more details about that.) Four of the state’s top six 4A teams will be there, according to rankings compiled by Washington Wrestling Report.
