BREMERTON, Wash. — Getting to the finals on a very hot and muggy Saturday at Bremerton Raceway took going through a large field of cars. Yet again, the finals were between two Ford Drag Team (FDT) cars.

The Mopar Drag Team held onto a 12 point lead over the Pacific N.W. Camaro Club in Team points. Points have tightened up for fourth place between the N.W. Muscle Car Assn. (N.W.M.C.A ) and the N.W. F-body team. The F-body team holds a small lead, which they are well aware that it can take just one race, to lose that standing if a team falls off their game.

Making it to the semi-finals was Kenny O’Keefe of the N.W.M.C.A in his 1969 Chevelle, in a losing cause to Pete Oliviero of the FDT. Marc Barnhardt in his 1986 GT Mustang lost to fellow FDT racer, Scott Cedergreen, in his 2003 Ford Lightning Pickup.

In the finals, it was Oliviero of Belfast, defeating teammate Scott Cedergreen of Sultan, WA. The win moved Oliviero into 2nd place in Bremerton Raceway CCCA individual points, behind Kenny O’Keefe.

There are just four races left in the 2009 CCCA season.
