Well the Huskies may not be winning at home much these days, but they sure are getting some nice weather at home this season. There are certainly worse views to look at while working than Lake Washington to my right and the UW campus to the left (oh yeah, and a football game in front of me). Not sure if everybody is still tailgating, or just not showing up, but as of now it looks like this is going to be the smallest crowd of the season by quite a bit (though I’m sure the announced attendance will be higher because of no-shows).
When the starting lineups were announced earlier, Tripper Johnson was listed as a starting safety along with Nate Williams, but Victor Aiyeway could still end up starting, or if not he’ll certainly play a lot.
One interesting thing to keep an eye on will be the UW linebackers. Word is Donald Butler may move to outside linebacker and Trenton Tuiasosopo will play middle linebacker. This move would make some sense, as it would get the Huskies’ three best linebackers all on the field.
Captains today are Johnie Kirton, Daniel Te’o-Nesheim, Paul Homer and Michael Gottlieb.
Oregon State won the toss and deferred to the second half, so the Huskies will start with the ball.
