Outdoor calendar
* The Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club and the Everett Parks Department are offering a Learn to Fish Class from 7-9 p.m. on Aug. 18, 27 and Sept. 1 at Legion Hall. The class will focus on river fishing. Members of the Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club get in free. There is a nominal charge for non-members. * The August meeting of the Sky Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Aug. 11 at the Old Snohomish Library (105 Cedar Ave.). The guest speaker will be Bill Robinson, former executive director of the Washington Council of Trout Unlimited. He will discuss the removal of the two dams on the Elwah River.
