EVERETT — James Parker homered and drove in five runs and the Everett AquaSox cruised past the Hillsboro Hops, 11-2, on Friday night at Funko Field.
Parker’s two-run shot sparked a seven-run fourth inning for the AquaSox (59-53 overall, 25-21 second half). Harry Ford added an RBI double, Gabriel Gonzalez an RBI single, Hogan Windish a two-run single and Walking Cabrera an RBI single in the inning.
Parker had a fielder’s choice RBI in the and a two-run double in the seventh. Windish blasted a solo home run in the eighth. Ben Ramirez had three hits, including two doubles.
Nick Davila (3-5) struck out six and allowed two runs on six hits and two walks for Everett. Troy Taylor, Sam Carlson and Jarod Bayless each tossed a shutout inning of relief.
David Martin plated two with a double in the sixth for the Hops (44-68, 20-26).
Hillsboro starter Joe Elbis (1-5) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.
