Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was just on 710 ESPN Seattle with Kevin Calabro, and when asked about Terrell Owens, Carroll said the receiver wasn’t in the Seahawks’ plans.
“We won’t be able to do that this time around,” Carroll said. “I like him and all of that, but we’re going to continue with the guys that we’ve got… We’re really looking to get the young guys going… His level of experience is awesome, but we have good experience . . That’s not the right guy for us at this time.”
Owens, who played for Buffalo last season, is looking for a team, and Seattle was viewed by many as a possible destination, but Carroll said they like the group they have now. Of course things could change if an injury or two come up and Owens is still on the market, but for now it looks like Owens won’t be coming to Seattle.
