EVERETT — James Parker hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning as the playoff-bound Everett AquaSox continued to surge with a 6-5 win over the Eugene Emeralds on Wednesday night.
After the game reached extra innings tied 4-4, the Emeralds plated a run on a groundout in the top of the 10th.
In the bottom of the inning, Hogan Windish doubled home Gabriel Gonzalez to tie the game before scoring on Parker’s walk-off hit.
Gonzalez finished 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, and Hogan Windish finished 2-for-5 with his 21st home run of the season and two RBI.
With the win, Everett (72-56, 38-24 second half) took a one-game lead over Vancouver in the chase for the Northwest League’s second-half title. Both teams have clinched berths into the league championship series and both have four games remaining in the regular season.
Carter Howell finished 1-for-3 with two RBI for Eugene (64-64, 30-32).
