As I’ve mentioned before, the media is only allowed to see the first 25 minutes of practice, so there isn’t much news to report.
Backup fullback Luke Kravitz, who broke his hand against Syracuse, was wearing a red jersey signifying no contact, but was going through drills. He isn’t expected to play against Boise State, but from what we saw today, it might not be totally out of the questions.
Tyrone Willingham gives out gold jerseys for players to wear at practice based on strong effort in practice and games. He must have been pleased with what he saw in Syracuse, because seven players—the most we’ve seen since fall camp began last month—wore gold today. They were: QB Jake Locker, TB Louis Rankin, P/PK Jared Ballman, DT Jordan Reffett, DT Greyson Gunheim, DT Daniel Te’o-Nesheim, and DT Caesar Rayford.
One last thing, I mentioned earlier that the Huskies received one vote in the coaches’ poll. They also received one vote in the AP poll that was released earlier this afternoon.
