Stanwood 2, Edmonds-Woodway 0

STANWOOD — The Spartans (8-0 overall) stayed perfect thanks to a no-hitter from Tanner Requa (five Ks, two walks). Skyler McLain (1-for-2) and Luke Brennan (1-for-3) each scored a run in the second inning to give Stanwood their two runs. Finn Crawford pitched all six innings for the Warriors, allowing three hits to three strikeouts.

Jackson 7, Monroe 6 (9)

EVERETT — In a game that saw nine pitchers total, the Timberwolves (6-1) came away with an extra-inning win on a wild pitch with the bases loaded. Hawkeye Delgado’s late bunt loaded the bases and set the stage for courtesy runner Jeremiah Kang to score the winning run from third on the aforementioned wild pitch. Austin Halvorson led the way for Jackson with two RBI on the night. Caleb Campbell saved the Bearcats (2-6) from a similar situation in the bottom of the eighth, making a spectacular catch in right field for a lineout with the bases loaded. Brennan Sheppard would lead Monroe’s attack, going 2-for-5 (three RBI) and bringing in two runs on a fifth-inning triple.

Mount Vernon 9, Snohomish 0

SNOHOMISH — The Panthers (5-5) narrowly avoided the run rule in a tough home loss to the Bulldogs. Landon Klein went 2-for-4 on a 3-for-24 day for Snohomish.

Koen Ekstrom brought in the two winning runs on his first hit of the evening to finish 1-for-3. David Telling (1-for-2) scored from third while pinch runner Eli Gojdics legged it from second to put Shorecrest ahead at the end for the final time. Telling also earned a win on the mound, allowing two hits in five innings while striking out six. Joey Facilla struck out eight for Shorewood in four innings.

Meadowdale 4, Mountlake Terrace 2

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A gritty six-strikeout, six-inning day for Mavericks pitcher Tristan Dodds powered Meadowdale (2-7, 1-5) to their first conference win of the season. After scoring two runs over the first four innings, the Mavericks offense relieved Dodds with a two-run sequence in the fifth in which Andre Titus (2-for-4, two runs, two RBI) doubled. Dodds also went 3-for-3 himself, bringing in a run off a single in the first. Nolan Valdivia (0-for-2) scored a run and had an RBI for Mountlake Terrace (4-6, 3-3).

Archbishop Murphy 5, Lynnwood 0

LYNNWOOD — The Wildcats (8-3, 4-2) trounced the Royals (0-9, 0-6) to earn a series sweep. Archbishop Murphy’s Cooper Thompson pitched six scoreless innings, allowing three hits to 10 strikeouts.
