Non-league

Kamiak 3, Mountlake Terrace 2

MUKILTEO — Owen Greer scored on a passed ball in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie and send the Knights to 9-2 on the season. Pitcher Andrew Fetty allowed two hits and no earned runs to six Ks in six innings to earn the win. Malachi Noet starred at the plate, going 2-for-3 for two RBI and a run. Jack Gripentrog allowed five hits to six strikeouts in four innings for Mountlake Terrace (4-7).

Marysville Getchell 5, Lynnwood 3 (8)

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — With the Chargers (2-9) looking for their second win and the Royals (0-10) looking for their first, it would be the former prevailing in an extra inning. Cooper Agen was a star on both ends for the Chargers, scoring one of his two runs in the eighth on a 3-for-4, one-RBI day while striking out seven in five innings pitched. John Dragland closed out the final three innings on the mound for MG, allowing no hits or walks and striking out four Royals. Sergio Navarro (1-for-4) hit a triple to bring in two runs for Lynnwood.

Jackson 3, Stanwood 1

MILL CREEK — After five scoreless innings from both squads, Jackson (8-1) and Stanwood (9-1) scored all of their respective runs in the sixth. Quinten Johns pitched five innings for the Timberwolves, allowing one hit to five Ks in a win. Johns also scored on an error in that sixth-inning stretch to start the winning three-run sequence. Ashton Bergman and Derek Sundstrom finished it with runs of their own on hits from Gavin Duckart and Hawkeye Delgado. TJ McQuery pitched five scoreless innings while earning the only RBI on offense of the night for the Spartans.

Shorecrest 10, Marysville Pilchuck 0 (5)

SHORELINE — Eight first-inning runs pushed the Scots (7-3) to a run-rule win. Shorecrest was walked seven times — six of which came in that loaded first frame — and found home plate 10 times on just four hits. Gabe King (1-for-1, two runs, two RBI, two SB) was one of five Scots to steal a base. Elyas Rojas (0-for-2) and Quinn Burnham (1-for-1) were the other Shorecrest runners to score twice while Brooks Murray hit a game-high three RBI. Kaden Hamshaw earned the win with four strikeouts in three innings. Jake Starwecki (2-for-3) hit a double and stole a base for Marysville Pilchuck (0-10).

Lincoln 5, Snohomish 2

SEATTLE — Despite a decent 7-for-27 day from the plate, the Panthers (5-6) were only able to bring two runs home. Dylan Hutchinson (2-for-4, 2B) and Jordan Rude each scored a run, while Landon Klein (2-for-3, double) had an RBI.

Eastlake 7, Arlington 1

SAMMAMISH — The Eagles fell to 6-4 on a frustrating day all around — Arlington had four errors and went 2-for-21 from the plate. Aiden Jones (2-for-3, 2B) opened the game’s scoring with the Eagles’ lone run in the second.

Northwest

Ferndale 8, Lakewood 7

ARLINGTON — A five-run seventh inning from Ferndale devastated the Cougars (2-7 overall, 0-5 league), who had led by four and had been ahead for a majority of the afternoon. Pitcher Cayden Hayes allowed just two hits to 10 Ks and no earned runs over five innings. Lakewood’s bats were also solid in the tough loss, as Drew Egger (2-for-3, three runs, one RBI) and Evan Egger (2-for-3, two runs, one RBI) accounted for most of the scoring. In the end, an inside-the-park two-run home run would invigorate a furious Ferndale comeback.
