Wesco 3A/2A North

Snohomish 2, Everett 1

SNOHOMISH — Luke Davis scattered eight hits and allowed a lone run while striking out seven batters in a complete game effort for the Panthers, who completed the regular season 14-7 overall and 7-3 league. Davis helped his own cause with an RBI double — one of the only four hits allowed by Everett’s Lincoln Stewart, who also went the distance. Nate Smith and Isaac Blackburn each went 2-for-3 for the Seagulls, who fell to 7-13, 6-4 with one game to play. The Panthers will begin the 3A District 1 Tournament on May 10. Everett will play in the tournament, with that date to be determined by the rest of this week’s results.

Monroe 2, Stanwood 1

MONROE — The Bearcats (7-11 overall, 6-3 league) put themselves in position to avoid the play-in portion of 3A District 1 Tournament. Stanwood (15-4, 8-1) had already cemented a first-round home game for 2 p.m. on May 10 with a game remaining against the Bearcats on Friday.

Lake Stevens 7, Arlington 0

ARLINGTON — Charles Long-Scott pitched a 3-hit shutout while striking out eight to lead Lake Stevens. The Vikings (13-5 overall, 8-1 league) stayed alive for the league title and clinched a first-round bye in the 4A District 1-2 Tournament, which starts next week. MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Just when it seemed the game would head to the ninth inning after a third strike for the third out on a Terrace batter, the ball got past the Wildcats to allow Owen Meek to scored from third on a passed ball as the batter reached base safely. Jeremy Perreault pitched all eight innings for Terrace (8-10 overall, 5-5 league), striking out nine while allowing six hits. Jack Gripentrog tripled and walked twice for the Hawks.

Cooper Thompson pitched a gem for Archbishop Murphy (12-7, 5-5) as well, allowing one unearned run over 7 1/3 innings while teammate Cole McCourt went 3-for-4. Both teams have qualified for district tournaments.

Edmonds-Woodway 5, Shorewood 0

EDMONDS — The Warriors (14-6 overall, 9-2 overall) clinched at least a share of the league title with one more game remaining against Shorewood (13-6, 8-3) on Friday. Sophomore pitcher Declan Crawford threw a complete game, 3-hit shutout, striking out five and working around five walks.
