Prep boys basketball: Archbishop Murphy 67, Lakewood 43

EVERETT — The Archbishop Murphy boys basketball team outscored Lakewood 42-18 in the second half to earn a 67-43 victory Friday night in a Cascade Conference matchup.

The first half ended with the two teams locked in a 25-25 tie, but the Wildcats shot 18-for-30 (60 percent) in the second half and held Lakewood to just four field goals. Abraham Lucas led the Wildcats with 12 points to go along with his eight rebounds.

Also in double figures for Archbishop Murphy (4-0 overall, 1-0 league) were Jaylon Carter (11), Chase White (10) and D’Andre Bryant (10).

Ryan Alford scored a game-high 16 points to lead Lakewood (0-2 league, 2-2 overall).
