LYNNWOOD — Chris Iacolucci got control of a loose ball, took advantage of a defensive lapse by Lynnwood and chipped in a 25-yard shot that proved to be the game-winner as Shorecrest defeated Lynnwood 2-1 in a Wesco 3A game on Monday.
Iacolucci also assisted on Shorecrest’s first goal in the third minute, a pass to Sam Shilbert that would give the Scots a 1-0 lead until the 50th minute, when Lynnwood’s Momodou Drammeh broke the tie with a long goal of his own.
“(This game) had a lot of pressure,” Shorecrest coach Drew Thompson said. “It was just a really good back and forth match.”
Thompson gave Lynnwood plenty of credit, calling the Royals “much improved” over last season.
