Prep boys soccer: Shorecrest 3, Kennedy 1

SHORELINE — Shorecrest (8-1 overall) fell behind early but rallied and turned back Kennedy Catholic (6-3-3) in a nonleague contest. Joey Castonguay put the Lancers on the board, scoring past Scot keeper Sam Schober thanks to an Allen Gregorios assist in the 23rd minute. Four minutes later, Glenn Paden found the equalizer with an assist from Henry Wingo. Sam’s brother Joe scored the eventual game-winner in the 46th minute with an assist from Paden. Brennan Millea tacked on an insurance goal in the 77th minute on an assist from Joe Schober. Shorecrest’s Miles Yates shut out the Lancers in goal during the second half. Jim Root and Thomas Morrell split time in goal for Kennedy.
