Prep football: Mount Vernon 27, Glacier Peak 20

MOUNT VERNON — David Linney had 243 yards passing and threw two touchdowns for Glacier Peak in a nonleague nail-biter of a loss against Mount Vernon Friday night. The Grizzlies lead 14-13 going into the fourth quarter, but Mt. Vernon scored back-to-back TDs to take a 27-14 lead. The Bulldogs took the lead on a 70-yard pass play. Alex Karabut led the Grizzlies with 116 yards rushing and a touchdown. Glacier Peak’s Sean Elledge caught nine passes for 90 yarsds and two TDs. Teammate Evan Nelson had eight catches for 123 yards.
