4A WEEK 10 PLAYOFFS

Winner to state, loser out

Woodinville 22, Glacier Peak 19

SNOHOMISH — Seventeenth-seeded Woodinville scored 15 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, including a go-ahead 45-yard touchdown pass with under four minutes to play, to stun No. 6 Glacier Peak in a Week 10 playoff game.

Glacier Peak led 13-0 late in the second quarter when they lined up for a field goal on the final play of the half. But Woodinville blocked the kick and returned the ball 88 yards for a touchdown in a stunning reversal of momentum.

The Grizzlies answered in the third quarter on a short rushing touchdown from River Lien to push their lead to 20-7.

But Woodiville threw a pair of long touchdowns in the fourth quarter, the last of which came with under four minutes to play to give the Falcons a 22-19 lead after a successful two-point try.

Glacier Peak took the ball to midfield on the ensuing possession, but turned the ball over on a fumble and the Falcons converter a third-and-8 to seal the win and run out the clock.

Chrisvin Bonshe had a 56-yard touchdown run, and Lien threw a touchdown to go along with his rushing score for the Grizzlies.

Glacier Peak ended its season, most of which was spent as the No. 1 Class 4A team in the Associated Press poll, with a 7-3 overall record.

Woodinville improved to 5-5 and will look to keep the momentum going in the state tournament.

Lake Stevens 63, Bethel 0

LAKE STEVENS — Kolton Matson threw six touchdown passes, all in the first half, as top-seeded Lake Stevens rolled to a state berth with a blowout win over No. 22 Bethel.

Cole Becker had three touchdown catches, and Jayden Limar had two rushing scores and another through the air for the Vikings.

Lake Stevens will enter state with an 8-2 overall record and as the likely top seed. Bethel finished its season 4-6.

3A WEEK 10 PLAYOFFS

Winner to state, loser out

Monroe 35, Liberty (Renton) 21

MONROE — The Monroe High School football team made its name this season primarily through its offense. But Friday night it was the defense and special teams that carried the Bearcats to state.

Twelfth-seeded Monroe (9-1) forced five turnovers, and the Bearcats advanced to the Class 3A state playoffs with a victory over the No. 21 Liberty (Renton) Patriots in a Week 10 playoff game at Monroe High School.

Monroe’s defense came up with three interceptions and recovered a fumble, and the Bearcats’ special teams recovered another funble and also blocked a put for a touchdown.

Liberty’s season came to an end with a 7-3 overall record.

O’Dea 56, Edmonds-Woodway 20

SEATTLE — Edmonds-Woodway, the No. 30 seed in the Week 10 playoffs for Class 3A, ended its season with a loss to No. 3 O’Dea.

The Warriors were attempting to reach the state playoff for the first time since 2017.

Edmonds-Woodway finished its season 5-4. O’Dea improved to 8-1 and returned to the state tournament after falling short last season.

Peninsula 35, Arlington 29 (OT)

GIG HARBOR — Jacoby Falor threw a 67-yard touchdown pass to Kaid Hunter on fourth down with under two minutes to play to tie the game, but No. 22 Arlington fell in a back-and-forth game to No. 11 Peninsula in overtimes.

The Eagles took the opening possession of overtime, but missed a field goal. The Seahawks followed with a 23-yard touchdown pass from Payton Knowles to Dane Meddaugh to clinch the win.

Arlington finished its season with a 7-3 overall record. Peninsula improved to 8-2 on its way to a state berth.

Stanwood 28, Lakes 20

STANWOOD — Gary Grisham intercepted a pass with time running down as No. 14 Stanwood held off No. 19 Lakes in a Week 10 playoff game and advanced to state for the second straight season.

Leo Pulalasi scored on a 2-yard touchdown run and added a two-point conversion as Lakes cut Stanwood’s lead to 28-20 in the middle of the fourth quarter and then got the ball back with a chance to tie the game.

But Grisham’s big play sealed the win for the Spartans.

Ryder Bumgarner scored three touchdowns, and Canyon Bumgarner added a score of his own for Stanwood, which improved to 9-1 heading into state.

Lakes finished its season with a 6-3 overall record.

Lincoln 62, Marysville Pilchuck 31

TACOMA — Fourth-seeded Lincoln (Tacoma) pulled away in the second half and cruised to a win over No. 29 Marysville Pilchuck in a Week 10 playoff game.

Marysville Pilchuck, which was seeking its third straight state berth, finished its season with a 5-5 overall record. Lincoln remained unbeaten with a 10-0 record.

Bellevue 53, Snohomish 12

BELLEVUE — Fifth-seeded Bellevue’s powerful rushing attack piled up 468 yards and the Wolverines’ defense held No. 28 Snohomish to just 30 yards on the ground in a Week 10 playoff game.

Mason Orgill and Kale Hammer each threw a touchdown pass, and Maximus MacDicken and Parker Jackson each had a touchdown reception for the Panthers.

Snohomish ended its season with a 4-6 overall record. Bellevue improved to 7-2.

NON-PLAYOFFS

Sehome 48, Cascade 28

BELLINGHAM — Sehome broke open a close game with a 20-point fourth quarter and pulled away for a win over Cascade.

Eric Sowards threw two touchdowns to Devin Gilbert, and Julian Thomas and Zach Lopez had rushing touchdowns for the Bruins.

Cascade finished its season with an 8-2 overall record. Sehome finished 7-3.

Mountlake Terrace 33, Meadowdale 6

EDMONDS — Mountlake Terrace topped Meadowdale in the season finale for both teams.

Mountlake Terrace finished 5-4. Meadowdale finished 1-9.

Shorecrest 29, Marysville Getchell 20

SHORELINE — Shorecrest topped Marysville Getchell in the season finale for both squads.

Shorecrest finished its season 2-8 overall. Marysville Getchell also finished 2-8.

Burlington-Edison 42, Everett 7

EVERETT — Burlington-Edison beat Everett in the final game of the season for both teams.

Mauricio Garcia threw a touchdown to Josh Smith, and Ian Hendry caught five passes for 66 yards for the Seagulls.

Everett finished its independent season with a 2-8 overall record. Burlington-Edison improved to 4-6.

Mariner 29, Inglemoor 14

BOTHELL — Younique Lee returned an interception 63 yards for a touchdown, and Michael Sully returned a fumble 75 yards for a score as Mariner closed its season with a win over Inglemoor.

Mariner finished its quality campaign with a 7-3 overall record. Inglemoor fell to 2-7.

Sultan 28, Bellingham 6

SULTAN — Derek Feltner rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns as Sultan closed its winning season with as win over Bellingham.

Westin Galle added a touchdown pass for Sultan, which finished with a 6-4 overall record. Bellingham fell to 3-7 on the season.

Lakewood 14, Oak Harbor 12

OAK HARBOR — Lakewood closed its season on a high note with a non-league win over Oak Harbor.

The Cougars finished with a 3-7 overall record. Oak Habor fell to 2-8 on the season.

Granite Falls 25, East Jefferson 6

GRANITE FALLS — Gavin Toland, Bradley Kehoe and Rydon Kuahuia all had rushing touchdowns, and Johnathan Roberts returned an interception for a score as Granite Falls closed its season with a win over East Jefferson.

Granite Falls finished 2-8 overall, while East Jefferson fell to 3-6.

Lynnwood 20, West Seattle 11

EDMONDS — Lynnwood closed its season on a high note with a win over West Seattle in the season finale for both teams.

Lynnwood finished with a 2-8 overall record. West Seattle fell to 3-7.

Kennedy Catholic 50, Kamiak 8

BURIEN — Ninteenth-seeded Kamiak fell to No. 4 Kennedy Catholic in a Week 10 playoff game on Saturday.

Kamiak finished its season with a 3-7 overall record. Kennedy Catholic improved to 9-1 and advanced to the state tournament.

1B WEEK 10 PLAYOFFS

Winner to state, loser out

Mossyrock 56, Darrington 6

MOSSYROCK — Darrington’s season ended with a loss to Mossyrock in a Week 10 playoff game.

Darrington finished 6-4 overall on the season. Mossyrock improved to 9-0 and advanced to the state tournament.

Naselle 68, Tulalip Heritage 0

NASELLE — Tulalip Hertiage’s season ended with a loss to Naselle in a Week 10 playoff game.

Tulalip Heritage finished 0-5 overall on the season. Naselle improved to 7-2 and advanced to the state tournament.

BELLEVUE — Cedarcrest fell to Newport in the final game of the season for both teams.

Jackson finished with an 0-10 overall record. Mount Vernon finished 2-8.
