Glacier Peak 9, Mariner 0

SNOHOMISH — Avery Burgmaier tallied a pair of goals and assists in the Grizzlies’ season opener against the Marauders.

Zoe Grosse opened the scoring, assisted by Brynna Pukis, in the third minute. Ava Munn, assisted by Burgmaier, made it 2-0 in the 10th minute, and Burgmaier tacked on two more goals (one assisted by Cameron Erdmann) to make it 4-0 by the 20th minute. Brooklyn Schultz, assisted by Katie Burkholder, scored in the 35th minute, followed by Izzy Westlund’s goal, assisted by Schultz in the 41st minute, Dylan Gordon’s goal, assisted by Westlund in the 45th minute, Alyssa Healey’s goal, assisted by Shay Russon in the 58th and Amelia Holst’s goal, assisted by Burgmaier, in the 76th.

Glacier Peak goalkeepers Malia Whitaker Vogt and Tabitha Biasco combined for a shutout.

The Grizzlies improved to 1-0 overall, and Mariner dropped to 0-1.

Arlington 6, Cascade 0

EVERETT — Delaney Henry scored two goals in the Eagles’ win over the Bruins.

Madison and Haley Wagester each tallied a goal apiece, as did Elli Van Winkle and Jersey Walker for Arlington (2-0 overall, 1-0 league)

Cascade dropped to 0-1, 0-1.

Mountlake Terrace 1, Shorecrest 0

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Taylor Williams, assisted by Abby Schmicker, put the ball in the back of the net in the 48th minute to give the Hawks the win against the Scots, the 2023 Class 3A state runners-up. Mountlake Terrace (1-1 overall, 1-0 league) goalkeeper Jordyn Stokes tallied six saves.

Shorecrest dropped to 2-1, 0-1.

Meadowdale 9, Lynnwood 0

EDMONDS — Izzy Fallarme and Madison Weigel each scored two goals in the Mavericks’ win against the Royals. Dulce Alvarez, Victoria Fallarme, Kyla Johns, Taylor Meyer and Aubri Sadler also notched one goal apiece. Goalkeepers Jordan Brannon and Baili Kothe combined for the shutout.

Meadowdale improved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in league play, and Lynnwood dropped to 0-2, 0-1.

Archbishop Murphy 2, Edmonds-Woodway 0

EVERETT — Ari Sullivan scored the first goal of the game in the 52nd minute, assisted by Kylie Hendry, and Julianne Buchan tacked on the second in the 68th minute, assisted by Chloe McCoy, in the Wildcats’ win against the Warriors. Goalkeeper Elle Kahn earned a shutout.

Archbishop Murphy improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in league play, and Edmonds-Woodway dropped to 2-1, 0-1.
