MILL CREEK — Marysville Pilchuck’s Sarah Tuemmler came from behind to defeat Eastlake’s Katie Park 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 in a battle of Wesco and Kingco third-place finishers at Jackson High School on Friday, qualifying her for next week’s 4A state tournament in Richland.
In doubles play Edmonds-Woodway’s doubles team of Mikala Valdez and Hanna Rehnfeldt lost to Garfield’s Fiona Cerf and Alexia Fite 6-2, 6-1, denying them a spot at state.
