BOYS BASKETBALL

Lakewood 92, Monroe 67

MONROE — Justice Taylor set a Lakewood school record with eight 3-pointers and the Cougars broke a school record with 18 total 3s in a big win over Monroe on Friday night.

Taylor led all scorers with 26 points, Shae Dixon added 22 and Blake Conyers had 20 points, including six 3-pointers, and seven assists for Lakewood (7-1).

Steve Kuhnle scored 25 points, including seven 3-pointers, and Nathan Cain added 11 for Monroe (2-6).

Jackson 72, Stanwood 52

STANWOOD — Drilon Veliu scored 24 points, including 15 in the first half as Jackson raced out to a 17-point lead, and the Timberwolves rolled to win over Stanwood on Friday night.

Nick Sysum scored 16 points and Sylas Williams added 10 for Jackson (6-2).

Jack Cleary scored a team-high 17 points and Kaeden McGlothin added eight for Stanwood (4-4).

Lake Stevens 60, Snohomish 49

SNOHOMISH — Grayson Murren scored a team-high 17 points and Maddox Preder added 13 as Lake Stevens earned a Wesco win over Snohomish on Friday night.

Kye Taylor had 11 points and Brandon Palacol chipped in nine for Lake Stevens (5-2).

Josh Vandergriend scored 16 points and Trey Leckner added 10 for Snohomish (2-6).

Mountlake Terrace 63, Lynnwood 33

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Tigran Mkrtychyan led nine Mountlake Terrace scorers with 13 points and the balanced Hawks rolled past Lynnwood in Wesco action on Friday night.

Jace Breakfield and Robbie Baringer each had nine points and Kinteh added eight for Mountlake Terrace (7-1).

Demiko Jallow led nine Lynnwood (2-6)scorers with seven points, and Tommy McMahon added six for the Royals.

Everett 71, Cascade 65

EVERETT — Taras Fesiienko scored 21 points and freshman Isaiah White added 20 points as Everett earned its first win of the season with a victory over rival Cascade on Friday night.

Pete Wilson had 13 points and Jeremy Reed chipped in 10 for Everett (1-5).

Devin Gilbert scored a game-high 23 points and Jack Nelson added 18, including four 3-pointers, for Cascade (1-8).

Mariner 78, Kamiak 63

MUKILTEO — Henry Avra scored 20 points and BJ Kolly chipped in 18 to help Mariner stay unbeaten with a victory over Mukilteo School District rival Kamiak.

Dakota Joseph added 14 points for the Maruaders (9-0), who raced out to a 49-31 halftime lead.

Jaye Ohonome led the Knights (6-2) with 21 points, including four 3-pointers, and Glenn Wabaluku had 15 points.
