BOYS BASKETBALL

1A District 2 Tournament

Quarterfinals

Sultan 45, Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) 39

SHORELINE — The third-seeded Turks topped the sixth-seeded Eagles to advances to the semifinals of the Class 1A District 2 Tournament.

Sultan (13-5) will face second-seeded King’s in a winner-to-state contest at 4 p.m. Saturday at King’s High School.

Cedar Park Christian (3-18) will host 12th-seeded South Whidbey in a loser-out consolation game at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

King’s 68, Bush 23

SHORELINE — The second-seeded Knights cruised past the seventh-seeded Blazers to advance to the semifinals of the Class 1A District 2 Tournament.

King’s (14-7) will host third-seeded Sultan in a winner-to-state contest at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Bush (15-6) will host ninth-seeded Northwest in a loser-out consolation bracket game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Seattle Academy 71, Granite Falls 54

SEATTLE — The eighth-seeded Tigers fell to the top-seeded Cardinals in a the quarterfinals of the Class 1A District 2 Tournament.

Granite Falls (12-11) will host 10th-seeded University Prep in a loser-out consolation bracket game at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Seattle Academy (13-6) will host fourth-seeded Bear Creek in a winner-to-state semifinal game at 2 p.m. Saturday.

1B District 1 Tournament

Semifinal (winner to tri-district)

Tulalip Heritage 52, Mount Vernon Christian 46

MOUNT VERNON — The Hawks beat the Hurricanes in the semifinal game of the Class 1B District 1 tournament.

Tulalip Heritage (16-6) will face Lummi in the finals at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Lummi Nation High School. Tulalip Heritage advances to tri-districts regardless of the result.

Consolation (loser out)

Shoreline Christian 48, Grace Academy 45

MARYSVILLE — The Chargers secured a close win over the Eagles in a loser-out consolation game of the Class 1B District 1 tournament.

Grace Academy finished its season 6-10.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

2A District 1 Tournament

Play-In (loser out)

Lakewood 48, Bellingham 30

ARLINGTON — The seventh-seeded Cougars downed the tenth-seeded Bayhawks in the play-in Class 2A District 1 tournament game.

Leiana Riveira booked 15 points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists for Lakewood (9-9). MJ Morales added nine points and had four rebounds, Krystle Raymond chipped in seven points and Frankee Powers had five rebounds, five steals and two assists.

Lakewood faces second-seeded Archbishop Murphy in the quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Thursday at Archbishop Murphy High School.

Sedro-Woolley 41, Cedarcrest 34

SEDRO-WOOLLEY — The Cubs beat the Red Wolves in the play-in Class 2A District 1 tournament game.

Cedarcrest ended its season 7-14.

1B District 1 Tournament

Semifinal (winner to tri-district)

Lummi 82, Darrington 42

BELLINGHAM — The second-seeded Blackhawks flew past the third-seeded Loggers in the semifinal game of the Class 1B District 1 tournament.

Allie Cochran scored 19 points and had 19 rebounds for Darrington (11-10). Claire Wright contributed 16 points and 16 rebounds, and Sophie Ross chipped in seven points.

Darrington will face fourth-seeded Orcas Island at 3:15 p.m. Thursday at Lummi Nation High School. Both teams advance to tri-districts.

Consolation (loser out)

Grace Academy 35, Tulalip Heritage 28

TULALIP — The eighth-seeded Eagles topped the fifth-seeded Hawks in a loser-out game of the Class 1B District 1 tournament.

Grace Academy (9-8) will face seventh-seeded Concrete in a winner-to-tri-districts, loser-out game at noon Thursday at Lummi Nation High School.

Tulalip Heritage finished its season 10-9.
