BOYS BASKETBALL

Non-league

Sultan 84, Cascade (Leavenworth) 36

SULTAN — Eli Trichler made six 3-pointers and poured in 25 of his-game high 28 points in the first half, and the Turks cruised past the Kodiak in a non-league game.

Toby Trichler netted 19 points, Taylor Horne added 15 and Riley Knapp nine for Sultan (1-0). The Turks built a 53-18 halftime lead.

Ethan Davis scored 20 points to lead Cascade (0-1).

Meadowdale 65, Sedro-Woolley 62 (OT)

SEDRO-WOOLLEY—Jaymon Wright scored eight of his game-high 21 points in overtime, and the Mavericks pulled out a non-league victory over the Cubs.

Wright added 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals, Tate Lynch hit five 3-pointers and had 19 points and Avery Pelote chipped in eight points for Meadowdale (1-0).

Jae Thompson hit a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime. Ethan DeJong led Sedro-Woolley (0-1) with 20 points, Cliff Adema added 14 and Thompson had 12.

Marysville Getchell 78, Lakewood 51

MARYSVILLE — Bubba Palacol scored 23 points, Ano Palacol netted 17 and the Chargers were red-hot from beyond the arc in a non-league win over the Cougars.

Wyatt Harris added 10 points and Shawn Etheridge and Zach Rice had nine apiece for Marysville Getchell (1-0), which shot 14 of 25 from 3-point range.

Caleb Greenland scored 19 points and Quinton Steen chipped in 10 for Lakewood (0-1).

Mount Vernon 68, Lake Stevens 57

LAKE STEVENS — Javon McFerrin poured in 28 points, but the Vikings couldn’t overcome an 18-point halftime deficit in a non-league matchup against the Bulldogs.

Devin Freeman scored 15 points and Brian Tilghman added six for Lake Stevens (1-1).

Quinn Swanson posted a game-high 32 points and Zavier Neyens and Michael Johnson chipped in nine apiece for Mount Vernon (1-0).

Jackson 71, Arlington 63

MILL CREEK — Drew Pepin netted 15 of his 24 points in the first quarter, Ryan Mcferran scored 22 points and the Timberwolves earned a non-league win over the Eagles.

Trey Hawkins added 19 points for Jackson (1-0), which received all but six of its points from the trio of Pepin, Mcferran and Hawkins.

Leyton Martin poured in a game-high 34 points, Jackson Trotter added 10 and Silas Miller eight for Arlington (0-1).

Ingraham 65, Lynnwood 42

SEATTLE — Brandon Arceo netted 17 points, but the Royals fell to the Rams in a non-league game.

Jace Hampson and Julian Mcdonald added eight points apiece for Lynnwood (0-1).

Dayne Cardonza led all scorers with 28 points for Ingraham (1-0).

Non-league

Sultan 37, Cascade (Leavenworth) 27

SULTAN — Ranah Rylah scored 11 of her game-high 12 points and the Turks used a second-half surge to top the Kodiaks in a non-league tilt.

Rylah scored 11 of her points in the second half. Addi Forte added eight points and McKenna Murphy six for Sultan (1-0), which outscored Cascade 26-6 in the second half.

Natalie Sanchez paced the Kodiak (0-1) with eight points.

Bothell 71, Glacier Peak 37

SNOHOMISH — Zoey Ritter led Glacier Peak with 11 points, but the Grizzlies fell to the Cougars in a non-league game.

Rikki Miller added six points for the Grizzlies (0-1).

Ashlyn Peterson scored 18 points, Charlotte Lipkin 17 and McKylee Hawkins 15 for Bothell (1-0).

Monroe 45, Oak Harbor 39

MONROE — Halle Keller led all scorers with 19 points and had five assists as the Bearcats topped the Wildcats in a non-league game.

Mya Mercille had eight points and 10 rebounds and Hope Keller added five points and five steals for Monroe (1-0).

AJ White scored 12 points and Suki Warden nine for Oak Harbor (0-1).

Lynden 62, Meadowdale 55

LYNNWOOD — Mia Brockmeyer scored 15 points and Gia Powell added 14, but the Mavericks fell in a tight non-league battle with the Lions.

Audrey Lucas added seven points for Meadowdale (1-0).

Finley Parcher netted 17 points and Haylee Koetje 11 to lead four in double figures for Lynden (1-0).

Everett 67, Kamiak 54

MUKILTEO — Alana Washington scored 19 points, Mylie Wugumgeg had 18 and the Seagulls pulled away early to earn a non-league win over the Knights.

Mae Washington added 14 points for Everett (1-0).

Bella Hasan netted 19 points, Zia Anderson added 16 and Finley Gonzales eight for Kamiak (0-1).

Shorecrest 35, Ballard 34

SHORELINE — Jorja Perrin scored 12 points and the Scots pulled out a tight non-league game agaisnt the Beavers.

Naima Preudhomme added six points for Shorecrest (1-0).

Clara Haynes led Ballard (1-1) with 12 points.
