SHORELINE — Hudson Cunningham collected nine strikeouts across six innings, allowing no hits and four walks as Shorecrest beat Interlake in a non-league game.

Brooks Murray took over on the mound in the seventh, allowing no hits while Jake Lockwood went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and two RBI for the Scots (2-0).

Bishop Blanchet 9, Lynnwood 3

LYNNWOOD — The Royals surrendered 10 walks and went 4-for-25 at the plate as Lynnwood fell to Bishop Blanchet n a non-league tilt.

Mathias Castillo gave the Royals (1-1) two scoreless innings from the mound, allowing one run while Kevin Martinez went 1-for-3 at the plate and drove in two runs.

Marysville Getchell 10, Squalicum 1

MARYSVILLE — Peyton Wallace went 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in four runs as Marysville-Getchell sunk Squalicum in a non-league game.

Caleb Johnson and Brody Manchester combined for five strikeouts on the mound, allowing three hits and two walks as the Chargers climbed to 1-2 on the season.

Jackson 11, Edmonds-Woodway 2

EDMONDS — The Timberwolves opened their season with the non-league victory over the Warriors.

Pitchers Drew Pepin, Sam Craig and Austin Halvorson combined on a two-hitter for Jackson (1-0), while Sean Bang led the offense by going 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Edmonds-Woodway fell to 1-3.

WOODINVILLE — Yanina Sherwood tossed a no-hitter and rung up 16 strikeouts as Jackson shut out Woodinville in a non-league bout.

Allie Thomsen homered and had four RBI, Rachel Sysum went 2-for-5 at the plate with two doubles and Hailey Pelletier was 2-for-4 with a double for Jackson. Nine different players supplied at least one hit for the Timberwolves (2-0).

Lakewood 14, Arlington 12

ARLINGTON — EmmaJoy Wise went a scorching 5-for-5 from the plate with an inside the park home run, two doubles and seven RBI as Lakewood edged Arlington in a non-league game, improving to 1-1.

Katie Krueger pitched all seven innings with two strikeouts and two walks and picked up the win for the Cougars (1-1).

Ainsley Kahler was 4-for-5 from the plate with a triple for the Eagles (0-1).

Kamiak 7, Juanita 0

EVERETT — Aliana Boulger went 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and a walk as Kamiak shut out Juanita in a non-league contest.

Boulger started in the circle and went four innings, striking out eight with two walks and allowing one hit, while Scarlette Chapman went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and a double for the Knights (2-0).

Glacier Peak 13, Mount Vernon 3 (5)

SNOHOMISH — Sammie Christensen homered twice and added a double as Glacier Peak topped Mount Vernon in a non-league home opener.

Lauren Hufford and Bri Titus also homered, and Maya Mesa took the win in the circle for the Grizzlies (1-0).

Marysville Getchell 14, Granite Falls 0 (5)

MARYSVILLE — Lily Balgos went 3-for-4 at the plate with two triples and a double as Marysville Getchell blew out Granite Falls in a non-league game.

Jaidyn Swanson was 2-for-3 with three RBI while Emme Ritter and Aaliyah Shafer combined to allow just one hit in the circle for the Chargers (1-0).

Everett 11, Burlington-Edison 1 (5)

EVERETT — Madeline Pewitt registered a pair doubles and went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, while Braylon Yarwood went 2-for-2 with two stolen bases as Everett routed Burlington-Edison in a non-league game.

Mia Hoekendorf went 4 1/3 innings in the circle and picked up the win as she struck out five batters and walked three. Samantha Stine added a 2-for-3 performance at the plate, scoring three runs for Seagulls (1-0).
