LAKE STEVENS — A true pitcher’s duel from league rivals Glacier Peak (12-2, 7-0) and Lake Stevens (8-8, 2-5) saw both teams go scoreless for nine entire innings. Grizzlies pitcher Emma Hishorn struck out 13 and allowed five hits against 34 hitters in nine innings pitched, while Charli Pugmire of Lake Stevens had 10 Ks to three hits in 10 innings pitched. The Grizzlies would score the win on a 3-for-31 day thanks to an error that brought placed runner Sammie Christensen (0-for-4, run) home from second base. McKenna Richer (1-for-3, 2B) doubled in a 5-for-33 outing for Lake Stevens.
