Here are the prep stars of the night for Saturday, Nov. 2:
Brenden Charbeneau, Jackson boys cross country
Chardeneau, a junior, won the boys Class 4A Northwest District Championships race at South Whidbey High School, finishing the race in 16 minutes, 4.69 seconds. He also helped the Timberwolves to a team title.
Alexis Palmer, Glacier Peak girls cross country
Palmer, a senior, was victorious in the girls 4A Northwest District Championships race with a time of 18:58.4. She also helped the Grizzlies to a team title.
Aiden Emerson, Arlington boys cross country
Emerson, a sophomore, won the boys 3A Northwest District Championships race in 16:09.08. He was one of six Eagles to place in the top 10 as Arlington won a team title.
Jasmine Nguyen, Marysville Getchell
Nguyen, a junior, took first at the girls 3A Northwest District Championship race, finishing the course in 18:53.3. She also helped the Chargers to their first-ever berth at the state meet.
Naomi Smith, King’s girls cross country
Smith, a senior, dominated the girls 1A Northwest District Championship race with a time of 18:08.54. She finished 1:23.06 in front of her nearest competitor, posted the fastest time across all classifications and helped the Knights to a team title.
Isaac Cortes, Granite Falls boys cross country
Cortes, a senior, defended his district title an the boys 1A Northwest District Championships with a time of 16:38.53.
Bree Nichols, Snohomish girls soccer
Nichols, a junior, scored a goal and added an assist in the Panthers’ 3-0 win over Stanwood in the first round of the 3A Northwest District Tournament.
