Brenden Charbeneau, Jackson boys cross country
Charbeneau, a junior, won the boys Wesco Championships race, finishing the race at Lakewood High School in 15 minutes, 53.8 seconds.
Emma Arceo, Kamiak girls cross country
Arceo, a sophomore, edged out Monroe’s Tryggve Trivett by .1 seconds to win the girls Wesco Championships race. Arceo posted a time of 18:37.2.
Isaac Cortes, Granite Falls boys cross country
Cortes, a senior, won the boys North Sound Conference Championships race with a personal-best time of 16:10.6.
Naomi Smith, King’s girls cross country
Smith, a senior, dominated the girls North Sound Conference Championships race, finishing the race in 17:29.7. Smith’s nearest competitor finished almost two minutes behind her.
Grace Morgan, Meadowdale girls swim & dive
Morgan, a senior, won the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle at the Edmonds School District Championships meet with times of 2:04.46 and 5:26.7, respectively. Morgan also helped the Mavericks’ 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays teams to victory.
Jersey Razzano, Meadowdale girls swim & dive
Razzano, a senior, won the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke at the Edmonds School District Championships meet with times of 57.24 and 1:04.63, respectively. Razzano also anchored the Mavericks’ victorious 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay teams.
