Zachary Bevans, Lynnwood boys swimming & diving
Bevans, a senior, recorded a 4A state qualifying time in the Royals’ first meet of the season, a 126-53 loss at Kamiak. Bevans finished the 100-yard butterfly in 52.13 seconds.
Vlad Gilszmer, Kamiak boys swimming & diving
Gilszmer, a junior, posted two individual 4A state qualifying times in the Knights’ first action of the season. Kamiak beat Lynnwood 126-53 and Meadowdale 143-33. Gilszmer recorded state times in two individual events — the 50-yard freestyle (22.24) and the 100-yard backstroke (52.48). He also helped the Knights land a state time in the 200 medley relay, swimming the leadoff (backstroke) leg en route to a time of 1:41.68.
Mack Konig, Jackson girls basketball
Konig, a sophomore, scored a team-high 21 points in the Timberwolves’ 56-47 non-conference win over Lynnwood.
Addi Trull, Shorewood girls basketball
Trull, a freshman, scored the game-tying basket and hit a go-ahead free throw in the Thunderbirds’ 47-45 non-conference win over Kamiak. Trull finished with a team-high 13 points in the game.
Kyle Hampton, Snohomish boys basketball
Hampton, a junior, scored a game-high 19 points in the Panthers’ 56-49 non-conference win over Sammamish.
Cayden White, Marysville Pilchuck boys wrestling
White, a senior, won his two 182-pound matches by pinfall in a combined 21 seconds in meets against Cascade and Jackson.
Chelsey Goeden, Marysville girls wrestling
Goeden, a senior, pinned returning state participant Frances O’Meara of Everett in 3:12 in the bout at 145 pounds during a dual against the Seagulls.
Miles Lamb, Snohomish boys wrestling
Lamb, a 106-pounder, pinned Glacier Peak’s Ulysses Lopez-Vazquez in the final bout of the annual rivalry clash, giving the Panthers a 37-33 win over the Grizzlies. Glacier Peak led 33-31 heading into the bout.
