KALISPELL, Mont. — Montana Raceway Park officials announced Monday that Red Bull Energy Drink will be a presenting sponsor for the John Deere Triple W Equipment Flathead Valley 75. The limited late model/sportsman shootout is open to ARCA West OK Tire Series Sportsman, ICAR Late Model Series, Limited Late Model Series, Katana Sportsman and Spokane County Raceway late-model teams.
The race is scheduled for Aug. 8 on the .250-mile oval in Kalispell.
Red Bull’s participation brings the total purse to over $10,000 including a tow bonus to any race team based outside the state of Montana that makes the A-Main.
Drivers tentatively scheduled to appear include defending ICAR champion Nathan Fleury, 2006 Inland Northwest Super Stock Association champion and current Spokane County Raceway driver, Dan Garber and 2008 Limited Late Model Series Rookie of the Year and third place points finisher, Jeff Mullins.
Also attempting to race the Flathead Valley 75 will be the two-car team from Osborne Racing Enterprises with owner Russ Osborne and two-time INSSA champion, Dave Garber, 2007 ICAR Rookie of the Year Colton Garber, 2008 ICAR fifth place points finisher Ryen Tarr, 2009 Limited Late Model Series Rookie of the Year contender, Jaelen Pace and 2009 ICAR Rookie of the Year contender, Braedon Havens.
Participants will declare on their entry form which series they are affiliated with and will run that groups rules package and tires against the other teams. Raceway Park officials will conduct the pre-race and post race technical inspections but will also have input from the various series inspectors. Raceway Park technical decisions will be final.
