Report: Seahawks LT Russell Okung playing with torn labrum in shoulder

When Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung left Seattle’s Week 3 win over Denver with a shoulder injury, he only missed a few plays, and has played in Seattle’s two games since. It turns out, however, that Okung suffered a pretty significant injury, according to Q13 Fox, which reports that Okung has a torn labrum in his shoulder.

Okung has struggled at times in Seattle’s last two games, especially with penalties, and Pete Carroll has admitted that the former Pro Bowler isn’t at full strength, and certainly this report would back that up.

Carroll will address the media this afternoon, so perhaps there will be more clarity on Okung’s situation then, but the fact that he has played two games since the injury would seem to indicate that it is something he can manage through the season.
