Tips defenseman Ryan Murray had a goal and an assist as Canada came from behind to defeat host Germany 4-3 today in the quarterfinals of the U-18 World Championships.
It was more of the same from Murray, who is Canada’s captain. Murray now has seven points (one goal, six assists) in five games, making him Canada’s second-leading scorer.
Canada has its hands full in the semifinals where it faces the U.S. (featuring Everett prospect Seth Jones), the tournament favorite. That game is Saturday.
All the details about the tournament can be found at the IIHF website.
