EVERETT — Mike Salvatore hit a grand slam in a six-run first inning as the Everett AquaSox jumped out to a big early lead and cruised to a 7-3 win over the Spokane Indians on Thursday night at Funko Field.
Walking Cabrera added a two-run single in the first inning and James Parker scored on a balk in the bottom of the sixth to complete the AquaSox’s scoring.
Harry Ford hit a double and Luis Curvelo struck out six in two scoreless innings of relief for Everett (52-47, 18-15 second half).
Benny Montgomery and Sean Bouchard each hit a solo home run for Spokane (47-51, 14-19).
