Mike Drouillard had some strong opinions about Friday’s game:
You certainly gave a graceful description of a mediocre team during a sold-out prformance. You’d think they might have played with a bit of spark and enthusiasm with 8400+ fans to back them. They need a good, swift kick in the arse to wake them up. The coach does not seem able to inspire his players. There seems to be no system in place for situations. A lack of imagination makes them predictable. Breaking out of their own zone is always sloppy and haphazard. Shooting a hard shot low (on the ice) is non existent. They make the opposing goalie look good, all he has to do is square up to the shot and voila` it’s easily stopped. Oh yeah, is there a club rule that sez you can’t be within a country mile of the goalie? I didn’t see one guy on the doorstep when we had the puck in the offensive zone. I suppose it’s hard to think offense when teammates are whiffing on passes and shots. I could go on, but who’s gonna read this and take any action?
