The nine-year veteran, who’s in his fourth campaign with the Seahawks, had 16 tackles, 6.5 sacks, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles and 11 quarterback hits in Seattle’s four games in October, helping the Seahawks go 2-1-1.
Avril’s play is all the more important with fellow defensive end Michael Bennett expected to be laid up two-to-three weeks after undergoing successful arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday.
